- Encourage co-parenting and shared decision-making whenever possible for the emotional stability of the children.
- Speak out against Parental Alienation in any form as damaging to the psychological needs and well-being of children.
- Integrate divorce coaching, financial planning, family therapy and other support modalities when valuable to the family.
- Understand that parental decisions about divorce can affect children for years – and often for a lifetime.
- Provide professional services with integrity, honesty and candor.
- Attest that you have never been convicted of a felony.
- Maintain the professional qualifications necessary to provide your services as required by both the state in which you practice and the professional governing body from which you initially received your credentials.
- Protect the confidentiality of all client information by ensuring that information is accessible only to those authorized to have access.
- Disclose all fees to the client prior to the delivery of any services.
